How to Broadcast your Listing

Over 75% of jobs are filled through the existing networks of current employees (friends or friends of friends). With WiHire, you can easily broadcast your listing to your existing networks, including:

  • Social networks like Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn
  • Email providers, like Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail
  • Social bookmarking websites, like Digg, StumbleUpon, and Del.icio.us
  • Instant messengers like AIM, Google Talk, and others
  • Any of your friends or groups already on WiHire
You can ask your friends or coworkers to comment on your listing with text or Youtube videos, upload letters of recommendation, rate you or the position, and then broadcast your listing out to their personal networks. The more people who see your listing, the quicker you can hire or get hired.

Here is how it's done:

1First, post a listing to the appropriate category and be sure to make sure it is formatted correctly before you broadcast it.

2Next, navigate back to your listing and click the "Tell a Friend" button directly underneath the title bar. You can also copy the url of your listing and paste it into messages or discussion posts.

3Select which network you want to use, enter your login info (we never store the information or give it to anybody), and then follow the instructions to send out your message or post your bookmark.



Messages to some networks (like Facebook) are formatted with BBcode (e.g. <br /> for a line break or <a href="http://www.wihire.com"> for links). This code is automatically translated when the message reaches the designated recipient.

LinkedIn is considered a social bookmark. To broadcast to LinkedIn select any icon on the Tell a Friend tool, then navigate to the "bookmarks" tab and select LinkedIn.
